The worst epidemic ever seen is sweeping through Bundang, the suburb of Seoul. After smuggling illegal immigrants into the country, Byung-woo dies from an unknown virus. Soon then , an equivalent symptoms are plaguing many residents in Bundang. People are helpless against the airborne disease and therefore the number of infected increases quickly, spreading chaos. because the worst-case scenario precaution, the town of half 1,000,000 people, just 19 kilometers from Seoul, is close to be sealed . the govt orders an entire shutdown. Meanwhile, communicable disease specialist In-hye and rescue worker Ji-goo enter the closed city to seek out the serum of the patient , an important a part of developing the vaccine.

Korean disaster movies offer you quite you buy and this is often no exceptioin. it is a cleverly constructed story that brings everything together. It’s far more than a rehash of Contagion or Outbreak. there’s a confinement resulting in a grand show down with some political commentary. The central characters are pivotal within the plot. A rescue worker, a doctor and her daughter. a number of the action and fighting may be a bit over the highest . With what’s happening in Wuhan now this is often an eerily prophetic movie.
